Fundraising Goal Exceeded for the 2009 TEG Breakfast!
The mission of TEG, beyond providing a great opportunity for fellowship between Marines and their friends and family, is to raise awareness of and tangible support for the Toys for Tots program. Towards that end, many Marines either brought a toy or a cash gift (or both) along with them on the day of the breakfast, or made other arrangements to show their support for the program. Our goal for the 2009 Toys for Tots Fundraiser at the breakfast was $5000.00 in combined value of toys and cash. To everyones delight and amazement, we exceeded that goal by 38% - collecting over $6900 in donations!
